Data Deletion Instructions

Ghostfeed respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains what we store when you connect a social account to Ghostfeed, and how you can request deletion of that data.

What data we store

When you connect an Instagram or TikTok account to Ghostfeed, we store the following:

• An encrypted access token issued by the platform
• Your platform user ID and username
• Basic profile metadata (display name, profile picture URL, follower counts, bio)
• Records of posts you publish through Ghostfeed (caption, media URLs, scheduled time, publish status)

We do not store your social platform password. Access tokens are encrypted at rest and are only used to perform actions you explicitly initiate in Ghostfeed.

Option 1: Disconnect in-app

The fastest way to remove your data is to disconnect the account from inside Ghostfeed:

1. Sign in to your Ghostfeed account
2. Open the Scheduling page
3. Find the connected Instagram or TikTok account and choose Disconnect

Disconnecting revokes the access token with the platform and deletes the stored token, profile metadata, and associated post records from our systems within 30 days.

Option 2: Email us a deletion request

If you cannot access your Ghostfeed account, or if you want us to delete your entire Ghostfeed account and all associated data, email us with the details below:

• To: [email protected]
• Subject: Data Deletion Request
• Include: the email address associated with your Ghostfeed account, and the Instagram or TikTok username whose data you want removed

We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Once a deletion request is processed, we remove the following from our database:

• The stored access token (and any refresh token)
• Your platform user ID, username, and profile metadata
• All post records created through Ghostfeed for that account

Operational backups are purged on our standard backup rotation, which completes within 90 days. Anonymised analytics that cannot be tied back to you may be retained.
